ABN Amro Bank One Card Review

  • ABN Amro One Card is designed for shoppers and has features like Cash Back which results in bulk savings when you are out there shopping. Though the feature is the backbone of any shopping card, it is the Cash Back percentage and the amount which results in Cash Back is of actual importance. In the case of ABN Amro one Card the Cash Back percentage is extremely lower resulting in just 0.5% for purchases upto Rs 10000. For purchases above Rs 10000 the Cashback percentage is 1%. This extremely lower offering is consolidated by an additional feature called Cash Back Boosters offering special days for additional Cash Back. Thus the feature instead of a boon might just be a hindrance in the card’s success.

The card lacks several features along with Reward Points program. The card has no specific Reward Points program which is a must for any shopping card. Simply put for any shopping card to succeed in the market it should have a healthy Cash Back and Reward Points program and ABN Amro one Card is a disappointment in both.

On the contrary the Card has a Joining fee of Rs 295 and an Annual fee of Rs 595. Unlike ABN Amro Titanium one card this card does not even have Golf course access to justify its high cost.

The card when compared to other shopping cards like Axis Bank Gold Credit Card and Kotak Mahindra Fortune Gold Credit Card is extremely high on charges and low on offerings. Also the interest rate charged on the card is 3.5% p.m. which again is higher in comparison to the other two cards.

    Reward Points 0
    Interest Rate 3
    Joining and Annual fees 3
    Benefits 1
    Over limit penalty 2
