Citibank IndianOil Gold Credit card is designed for people who do frequent road trips and are looking forward for discounts on fuel purchase. The card offers fuel purchase benefits which save a good amount of your hard earned money in the way of discounts, fuel surcharge waiver and Reward points which can later be redeemed for free fuel.

Citibank IndianOil Gold Credit card Rewards points program when compared to ICICI HPCL Gold Credit card has an upper hand. With this card you earn 4 Turbo Points for every Rs. 150 spent at IndianOil Outlets. Expenses elsewhere earn you 1 Turbo Reward Point for every Rs. 150. In case of ICICI HPCL Gold Credit card expenses other than at HPCL pumps earn you 1 reward point on every Rs.200.

However the card has few setbacks like fuel surcharge waiver is available only at selected IndianOil outlets. The card has very lame shopping benefits on offer since it is designed majorly to offer fuel purchase benefits. The card when compared to ICICI HPCL Gold Credit card does not offer benefits like discount on P.U.C check and labour charges, discount on tyres, batteries and auto accessories sold at select HPCL petrol pumps. Thus in comparison to its competitors the card does lack a punch.

Citibank IndianOil Gold Credit card has no Joining or Annual fees. The card has an interest rate offering of 3.15% p.m. which when compared to cards like ICICI HPCL Gold Credit card is very competitive. The card though is a ‘good’ choice but competitors are ‘better’.
