HDFC Silver Credit Card is designed exclusively for those who love to indulge themselves in shopping, dining, holidaying, etc. Simply put the card is a shopper’s card offering discount benefits in the form of Reward Points. However, the card’s Reward Points program is on the expensive side offering just one point for every Rs 200 spent.

The card in most aspects is similar to any other shopping card except for few features like add-on-cards features which allows you to have up to three add-on-cards. Apart from this the card has nothing new or exclusive to offer its users.

The card offers travel benefits to its users, however, features like insurance coverage offered by few shopping cards is absent in HDFC Silver Credit Card.

The card can be compared to cards like Axis Bank Gold Credit Card and SBI Silver and More Card with regards to features and benefits on offer.

HDFC Silver Credit Card has no Joining fee but an Annual fee of Rs 700 making it costlier in comparison to other shopping cards. Interest rate offering is one of the important criteria with shopper’s card due to volume of transactions. The interest rate offering on this card is 3.25% p.m. which is competitive with regards to other shopping cards.

The card needs to include few more exclusive features to justify its high cost.
