HSBC Classic Credit Card is exclusively designed for shoppers to avail them those shopping privileges and benefits. The card is well equipped with money saving features which could be very useful when you are out there shopping. Surprisingly feature like fuel surcharge waiver is though available on the card but at an additional cost of Rs 349 per annum.

As for the card’s Reward Points program you can earn three Reward Points for every Rs 100 spent. However this impressive Reward Points program is available to user only on payment of additional Rs 150 per annum.

Although the card has no Joining fee but has an Annual fee of Rs 700 making it an expensive affair. The card with respect to features and benefits is like any other shopping card and has nothing new or exclusive to offer its users. In fact few basic features are available only on payment of an additional sum.

Thus when other cards with similar features are available for lower cost why would one opt for HSBC Classic Credit Card? Simply put the card needs to include exclusive features which would justify its high cost.

The card when compared to cards like SBI Silver and More Card and ABN Amro One Card is very much at par except for the charges. Also the card states to offer a low interest rate which is an important criterion in a shopping card. However with an interest rate offering of 3.5% p.m. it is more or less similar to other cards in this section.
