Although the card has no Joining fee but has an Annual fee of Rs 2000 making it one of the most expensive cards on offer. Thus when other cards with similar features are available for lower cost why would one opt for HSBC Gold Credit Card. High charges are yet another hindrance in the success of the card.

The card when compared with respect to features and benefits to cards like Standard Chartered Gold Rewards Card and Kotak Mahindra Trump Gold Credit Card is at par; however; high charges is one of the major drawbacks for the card.  Standard Chartered Gold Rewards Card and Kotak Mahindra Trump Gold Credit have no Joining or Annual fee in comparison to HSBC Gold Credit Card with an Annual fee of Rs 2000 making it an extremely expensive affair.
