HSBC Gold Credit Card Review

  • HSBC Gold Credit Card is exclusively designed for shoppers to avail them those shopping privileges and benefits. The card is well equipped with money saving features which could be very useful when you are out there shopping. Features like fuel surcharge waiver and low interest rate are though among common features yet could prove very useful.

As for the card’s Reward Points program you can earn three Reward Points for every Rs 100 spent. However there is a catch; this impressive Reward Points program is available to user only on payment of additional Rs 250 per annum.
Reward redemption scheme is an exciting affair with this card.

Although the card has no Joining fee but has an Annual fee of Rs 2000 making it one of the most expensive cards on offer. The card with respect to features and benefits is like any other shopping card and has nothing new or exclusive to offer its users. Thus when other cards with similar features are available for lower cost why would one opt for HSBC Gold Credit Card. High charges are yet another hindrance in the success of the card.

The card when compared with respect to features and benefits to cards like Standard Chartered Gold Rewards Card and Kotak Mahindra Trump Gold Credit Card is at par; however; high charges is one of the major drawbacks for the card.  Standard Chartered Gold Rewards Card and Kotak Mahindra Trump Gold Credit have no Joining or Annual fee in comparison to HSBC Gold Credit Card with an Annual fee of Rs 2000 making it an extremely expensive affair.

    Reward Points 3
    Interest Rate 4
    Joining and Annual fees 1
    Benefits 4
    Over limit penalty 3
