HSBC Spencer's Happy Ties Classic Card is a co branded card designed for people who shop regularly at Spencer’s Retail stores. The card is like any other co branded card offering major discounts on purchase at Spencer’s Retail stores. Apart from discount benefits users are also entitled to features like Regular events & promotions, etc.

The card offers welcome gimmick in the form of Spencer voucher of up to Rs 100. As for the card Reward Points program you earn eight Reward Points on every Rs 100 spent at Spencer’s Retail stores. For expenses elsewhere you earn three points for every Rs 100 spent.

However, there is a catch; the value of each Reward point is less than Re.1. Simply put 400 points is equivalent to Rs 100 gift voucher from Spencer’s Retail. Also the card does not state any other rewards redemption offers except for Spencer Retail gift vouchers.

The card when compared to other co branded cards belonging to the same category like SBI Vishal Mega Mart Card and Citibank First Citizen Credit Card is at par.

HSBC Spencer's Happy Ties Classic Card has no Joining fee but an Annual fee of Rs 250. This when compared to cards like SBI Vishal Mega Mart Card and Citibank First Citizen Credit Card is competitive. However, the interest rate offering on the card is 3.5% p.m. which is higher in comparison to the other two cards.
