SBI SpiceJet Card is a co branded card designed exclusively for frequent flyers. The card similar to other co branded travel cards offer discount benefits and privileges on ticket booking and travel through SpiceJet airlines. The card apart from few travel privileges and discounts has nothing new or exclusive to offer its users.

The card welcomes you with few gimmicks like free ticket on enrolment and discount voucher which is common offering among most travel cards. As for the card’s Reward Points program it offers five points for every Rs 100 spent on ticket bookings at spicejet.com. Expenses elsewhere earn you one Reward point for every Rs 100 spent on the card. The card also offers Personal Accident insurance which also is a common feature among most travel cards.

SBI SpiceJet Card when compared to other co branded cards belonging to the same category like Citibank Jet Airways Titanium Credit Card and Standard Chartered Emirates Platinum Card falls short of expectations with regards to travelling discounts and benefits.

SBI SpiceJet Card has a Joining fee of Rs 2000 and Annual fee of Rs 250. This when compared to card like Citibank Jet Airways Titanium Credit Card is on the higher side as the card has no Joining or Annual fee. However in comparison to Standard Chartered Emirates Platinum Card the pricing seems competitive. Also SBI SpiceJet Card has an interest rate offering of 3.35% p.m. which is on the higher side in comparison to other cards.

SBI SpiceJet Card has to include more travel features and benefits if it has to emerge as a competitive travel card.
