Union Bank of India Classic Card is an entry level shopping card designed exclusively for the masses. The card is meant for those who wish to own a credit card but belong to low income group. The income eligibility for owning this card is just Rs 1.8 lakh per annum making it affordable and accessible for many. The card though state to offers shopping and dining benefits like eating out, holidaying, fuelling up your vehicle and travel privileges like air, rail reservations, they are very basic in nature.
The card has a very lame Reward Points program in comparison to other shopping cards. The card states to offer Reward Points for expenditure made on the card but number and value of Reward Points is not stated. The card’s Reward redemption scheme is as lame as the card.
The card has features which are similar to most other entry level card except for Free Accidental Insurance cover which is an added feature and not found in majority of shopping cards. Apart from this it has nothing new or exclusive to offer its users.Union Bank of India Classic Card when compared with regards to features and benefits to other entry level cards like Canara Visa Classic Card and Canara Mastercard Standard Global Card is very much at par.
Union Bank of India Classic Card has no Joining or Annual fee which is apt for entry-level card like this. The card has an interest rate offering of 1.9% p.m. which when compared to cards like Canara Visa Classic Card and Canara Mastercard Standard Global Card is very competitive in nature.

I am the employ of Manipal Group and my annual income is 2,25,000,i am interested in getting a Credit Card but i am not an account holder of your bank . Can you help me to go about it kindly .

Even if you do not have a savings account in Union Bank of India, you can to your nearest branch and check whether it is important to have a savings account for getting a credit card. It is because, some banks do have this as a mandatory requirement; however, others do not require you to have a bank account with then if you apply for a credit card.
