Standard Chartered Bank is an UK based bank which traces its history in India back to the year 1858.
Loan amount
The loan amount ranges from 50,000 to 30 lacs. No other bank in the market provides such a wide range of loan amounts.
Interest rate
The interest rate can go upto 25% depending on the borrower’s profile and loan amount. This is substantially higher than what many competitors offer.
Charges
The processing fees are 2% of the loan amount which is more or less the industry standard. The prepayment charges are 5% of the outstanding amount. These are quite high and are a deterrent for people looking to repay their loans ahead of schedule.
Tenure
The loan tenure ranges from 1 year to 5 years which is more or less the industry standard.
